Alberto Berton

Organic specialist, since 1999, I have been selecting and coordinating a network of Italian organic food producers to establish ethical and profitable commercial relationships with key international organic retail partners. My work focuses on dairy products, salami, and selected bakery and pastry items.

I grew up in one of Italy’s renowned regions for most historically cheese production, my work includes cheese selection for several of these partners and I am a certified ONAF cheese taster.

In line with the principles of the organic movement, I have been a pioneer in promoting bulk food equipment in Europe and have contributed to the development of organic and bulk food stores and dedicated retail corners.

My interests also include historical research in bioeconomics, organic agriculture, agroecology, and political ecology. I am a member of the editorial board of Altronovecento, the magazine founded by Giorgio Nebbia, considered the father of Italian scientific environmentalism.

I have been a member of IFOAM since 2018, a founding member of the Italian Society for Environmental History (SISAM), and a member of the Scuola di Bioeconomia at the University of Perugia.

Daphne Sanvito

Architect and designer, I was active in academic research  with the LPE (Ecological Design Laboratory) team at Politecnico di Milano, working on innovative local and organic food markets initiated by citizens, aimed at generating ecological and social impact within their communities, I worked on international case studies, traveled and wrote about it.  In 2004, I started collaborating with bioeco.net as an eco and systemic designer with expertise in the organic market, contributing to the communication of the products, designing and organizing trades shows .

Simultaneously and with consistency of purpose, I have also designed bulk retail solutions and shops in Italy and European countries, and worked as garden designer, creating outdoor spaces and micro urban ecosystems that positively impact the local climate. My projects often involve de-paving and re-wilding initiatives.
